After watching Solo Leveling Episode 10, the big question on everyone's mind, including mine, is whether Sung Jinwoo should actually join a guild. It's a huge moment when one of the top five guilds approaches him, hinting at a new phase in his journey. But let's be real, Sung Jinwoo isn't your average hunter. His unique ability to 'solo level' and raise a shadow army completely changes the game when it comes to the traditional role of guilds. From my perspective, guilds in Solo Leveling usually serve several key purposes: they provide a stable income, offer protection in raids, pool resources for more challenging dungeons, and establish a network of powerful hunters. For most, joining a strong guild is a no-brainer for safety and progression. However, Sung Jinwoo operates on a different level. He doesn't need protection; he is the protection. He doesn't need to split raid rewards because he's clearing dungeons by himself or with his ever-growing shadow legion. The standard benefits of a guild seem almost redundant for someone with his extraordinary capabilities. So, what could a guild offer Sung Jinwoo? I think it boils down to two main things: legitimacy and information. As he becomes increasingly powerful, operating entirely solo could draw unwanted attention from the Hunter's Association or other powerful entities. A guild might provide a convenient front, allowing him to continue his solo leveling under a recognized banner without constant scrutiny. Furthermore, top guilds often have access to high-level intelligence about gates, powerful bosses, and political maneuverings within the hunter world – information that could be invaluable, even for someone as strong as Sung Jinwoo. However, there are significant downsides. Joining a guild often means adhering to their rules, strategies, and even political agendas. Sung Jinwoo thrives on his independence and the freedom to pursue his own growth path, often in ways that defy conventional hunter expectations. Being constrained by guild obligations or having his unique powers misunderstood could hinder his progress. Imagine him having to explain his shadow army to a guild master who only understands traditional hunter roles! It just doesn't seem like a good fit for his evolving power and secretive nature. In my opinion, the ideal 'guild' for Sung Jinwoo might not be a conventional one at all. Perhaps he needs an organization that serves him, rather than the other way around. Or, even better, a guild that he eventually forms himself, tailored to his needs and vision. This would allow him to leverage the benefits of a structured group – like resource management and public relations – without compromising his autonomy or limiting his incredible potential. His journey is about breaking limits, and I truly believe his path with guilds will be no different.
