This encounter could have left a lasting scar, fueling her resolve and shaping her ruthless approach to dealing with oddities. It would certainly explain the intensity of a 'grudge' – it's not just a professional disagreement, but something deeply personal. This revelation really makes me want to re-watch some of Yozuru's earlier appearances, like in Nisemonogatari, to see if there are any subtle hints or foreshadowing I might have missed.
