... Read moreOkay, can we just talk about Re:ZERO Season 3 for a second? I know we're all still reeling from Priscilla Barielle's grand reappearance! Seriously, seeing her back, especially in that iconic red and black dress, holding her fan with such poise, just immediately ups the ante. My jaw dropped when she confirmed she wasn't the one who sent Al on his Witch Cultist-hunting spree. Like, *what*?! If not Priscilla, then who on earth is pulling Al's strings? This whole mystery has me completely hooked!
Priscilla's character is just pure chaos and power, and her re-entry into the narrative always brings a certain... flair. Her denial about Al's mission is a huge twist because many, myself included, might have initially suspected her given her influence and enigmatic nature. But now we're back to square one, trying to figure out who has Al's allegiance. Thinking about Al's own mysterious past and his unique connection to Subaru, it makes you wonder what kind of power could command him to hunt Witch Cultists without Priscilla's knowledge. Could it be someone even more influential, or perhaps a clandestine faction? The fact that a map was visible on the table in that scene, with Priscilla, Al, and Liliana partially visible, suggests some serious strategic discussions were happening.
And speaking of the Witch Cult, that's where things get really dark and complicated. We know they're a massive, shadowy organization with various Sin Archbishops, each embodying a different deadly sin. They're responsible for so much suffering in Re:ZERO, and their presence always spells disaster. The idea that someone is orchestrating Al to go after them is fascinating. It could be an enemy of the cult, or perhaps an internal struggle we don't know about yet. This brings me to another prominent figure often associated with the Witch Cult: Sirius Romanee-Conti. Her distinctive appearance, often depicted with bandages, makes her one of the more unsettling Archbishops. As the Sin Archbishop of Wrath, her actions are usually destructive and chaotic. Could she or another cult member be involved in some intricate power play? Or perhaps she’s a target Al was sent to hunt, inadvertently revealing a deeper conspiracy?
Even Liliana, partially visible in that scene, adds to the intrigue. Is she just an innocent bystander, or does her presence hint at other connections? Every character feels like they have a secret agenda in Re:ZERO, and this season is definitely delivering on that front.
This whole situation with Al and the Witch Cult has me theorizing endlessly. Is it Roswaal playing another long game? Is it a completely new player getting involved? Or could it be connected to the other factions we haven't seen much of lately? I'm so excited to see how this unfolds and who the true mastermind behind Al's actions really is. What are your thoughts, Re:ZERO fans? Let's discuss!
