I oppose Todd Blanche as attorney general

Having closely followed the developments around Todd Blanche's nomination, I find that concerns about conflicts of interest are not just political rhetoric but grounded in real ethical considerations. Serving as the former personal attorney to the president while now being nominated for Attorney General raises serious questions about impartiality and his ability to uphold justice without bias. Furthermore, the unresolved issues tied to his interview with Ghislaine Maxwell and her transfer to a minimum-security facility add to the public's unease. Transparency in these high-profile cases is essential, and the DOJ's refusal to release more files, particularly those related to Jeffrey Epstein, only fuels suspicion. The missing pages from FBI interviews, which were only rediscovered after public pressure, indicate a lack of openness that should be unacceptable in a department responsible for justice. From a personal perspective, I've seen how important transparent leadership is in maintaining public trust in legal institutions. As someone who values accountability, it's troubling to consider an interim head leading a department out of compliance with the Epstein Transparency Act. This act was created to ensure the public has access to information that could expose wrongdoing, and non-compliance undermines that goal. In urging others to voice opposition before confirmation, I believe that an Attorney General must embody integrity and commitment to transparency above political alliances. These standards are vital to uphold the rule of law and safeguard democracy. My experience shows that when leadership falls short in these areas, it shakes citizens’ confidence and the justice system’s credibility.
