As a board-certified dermatologist, one of the biggest skincare myths I hear is that glowing skin comes from expensive products alone. In reality, healthy and radiant skin is usually the result of consistency, proper skin protection, and using ingredients that are backed by science.

Here are some skincare essentials I personally recommend for maintaining healthier-looking skin:

Retinol helps smooth fine lines, improve acne, and refine overall skin texture, creating a youthful glow. Most importantly, daily sunscreen is non-negotiable. No matter what other products you use, protecting your skin from UV damage prevents premature aging and helps maintain an even skin tone. Adopting these habits transformed my skin’s health and glow, proving that science-backed skincare combined with patience truly yields the best results.
