... Read moreWhen interviewing for a residency program, it's vital to ask questions that give you insight into the program's structure and culture. Besides inquiring about recent changes to the program and the support available for residents, consider asking about elective opportunities. Potential electives can provide opportunities for specialized learning and skills development, tailoring your training to your future career goals. Additionally, understanding the resources available for residents is crucial. Inquire about mentoring programs, wellness support, and access to educational materials. Lastly, it’s important to assess the anticipated changes within the program. This not only helps you understand the program's future direction but also shows your interest in how it evolves. Engaging in these discussions can provide a clearer picture of the residency experience and help ensure that you choose a program that aligns with your professional aspirations.
