"The shopkeeper did everything himself until he didn't have time to" think. ""
I met many shopkeepers who were almost exhausted every day.
"So what new strategy did you plan today?"
"There is no time."
Why?
Because the shopkeeper spent time on a small job that should be done by the team.
• Wash the glass yourself because of fear of the broken staff
• Stand by yourself because you don't trust the cashier.
• Czech stock itself every day because of fear of disappearing items
• Solve the problem of customers until they forget that the real problem is the whole store service system.
Sounds like dedicated.
But it's actually "time-out with the blackout."
"Think of a way to prevent the fire from burning again."
❌. The consequences.
• The store never developed → because the owner kept working.
• The team didn't grow up once → because the owners never gave him the opportunity to learn.
• The owner is tired → because he only puts everything on his shoulders.
• And most importantly... the store loses its profits quietly because no one "looks at the big picture."
✅ What should the shopkeeper do?
1. Stop doing everything yourself
→ Assign a small task to the care team.
2. Create a system instead of extinguishing the fire.
→ For example, make a SOP for employees to follow without waiting for the owner.
3. Set aside time for "thinking."
→ At least one day a week. Have to watch the numbers. Plan a strategy.
4. Train the team to be better
→ Because a healthy team = The shopkeeper has time to go do really important things.
📌 The lesson is:
A shopkeeper who does everything himself can make the store "survive."
But shopkeepers who only have time to think and strategize make them grow.
👉 What about today you spend "solving problems" or "building the future of the store"?
