You were called before you sinned. You can’t change God’s mind about you. God knew you intimately before He created you in your mother’s womb. There isn’t anything you’ve done, battled with, succumbed to, toyed with that is unforgivable in His sight. You may have a hard time forgiving yourself or forgetting what you did, but God isn’t like you. He’s God. He’s not trying to become like you. He’s trying to get you to become like Him. He made you. So He knows just how to remake you into what He originally designed you to be. It’s never too late to turn around and give your life to Christ, or recommit it if you’ve backslidden. If you still have breath, you still have time.

Many of us carry the burden of past mistakes, feeling unworthy of forgiveness, yet the truth is that God's love transcends all our shortcomings. This understanding can be incredibly freeing — it means that no matter how far you’ve strayed, God’s invitation to restoration stands firm. One practical step I took to internalize this truth was through daily meditation on scriptures that affirm God's unwavering love and calling. It helped me shift focus from self-condemnation to acceptance and growth. Remember, the process of becoming 'like Him' is ongoing and filled with grace. Moreover, recommitting your life to Christ isn't just a one-time event but a daily choice. When doubts or feelings of unworthiness creep in, reminding yourself that God knew you even before you were born—as the scripture says—can replenish your hope and resolve. In community, sharing these experiences can also deepen your faith. Knowing others face similar struggles and witnessing their renewal encourages perseverance. So, embrace the truth that you are made anew and keep moving forward with each breath—as long as you live, change and growth remain possible.
