*This is my perspective on the 2024 USA Election.*
As a Christian, there are certain values I base my moral character on. They can be summarized by the teaching of the Great Commandment, which is to Love Thy Neighbor as Thyself. This Golden Rule is established in Leviticus and again in the teachings of Jesus Christ as told in Matthew.
I live out this moral by giving others the benefit of the doubt. In my everyday life, in my interactions online and in person, and especially in my politics.
I believe that Loving Thy Neighbor applies to men and women, people of any skin color or race or ethnicity, people who fall anywhere on the gender spectrum, people who are unhoused, people who have had abortions and those who will have them in the future, people who were not born within our borders and those who were born right here in the good ole U.S.A.
There were several candidates I felt reflected my moral values. Donald Trump is not one of them.
I believe that Love Thy Neighbor applies to those who disagree with me politically.
We, as a people, are only as strong as we are United. Do not let anyone convince you that your neighbor is your enemy.
Refuse to cast stones. Lead with Love 🫶🏼

Social issues such as immigration, healthcare, and equality are often influenced by this fundamental teaching. In times of division, it's vital to uphold a commitment to love and support one another. By promoting kindness and tolerance, we can work toward a more unified society despite our political differences. Engaging in political discourse with an open mind can lead to deeper understanding even with those who hold opposing views. It's essential to remember that our neighbors are not enemies; they are part of our community. Every vote matters, and by choosing candidates who embody these values, we actively participate in shaping a future that reflects compassion and unity.
