I been doing this since 24 years old
I'm in downtown DC near Farragut North metrro station and DuPont Circle metro station!
Starting bike delivery work at the age of 24 in downtown DC has been an eye-opening journey. Navigating the busy streets near Farragut North and DuPont Circle metro stations requires not only physical endurance but also a keen understanding of the city's layout and traffic patterns. Over time, I've learned that being familiar with shortcuts and less congested routes can make all the difference in delivering food quickly and efficiently. Weather is another important factor. From scorching summer heat to chilly winters, each season presents unique challenges that affect biking conditions and customer demand. I've found that investing in proper gear—from breathable clothing to waterproof layers—helps maintain comfort and safety. Interacting with diverse customers while delivering meals from various restaurants has enriched my experience. It also highlighted the importance of punctuality and friendly service to earn tips and positive reviews. This job taught me valuable lessons in time management, perseverance, and adaptability. Despite the physical demands, the freedom of being on the move and exploring different parts of downtown DC has kept me motivated and engaged in this line of work.
