I gave in and finally bought Gisou products. It is definitely worth the hype. I will be getting the full sizes after I finish them. I love how my hair feels after using the products.
Body oil : leave my body feeling smooth and soft
hair oil : tames my frizziness and leave my hair feeling smooth soft and silky and it gives it a nice shine
leave in conditioner: I like to use it as a hair spray when my hair is feeling dry when I brush and style it.
beauty balm : I use it like Vaseline on areas that are usually dry like my elbows and knees and hands. Sometimes on my lips when they’re dry at night.
hair mask: I put it on a few hours before I wash my hair. After my shower it makes my hair feel ‘repaired’ and healthy and of course I follow up with the hair oil
I want to try their three hair perfumes (original, wild rose, and lavender berry) hair serum, face oil and the shampoo and conditioner. I have the watermelon lipgloss but it’s not worth $30 for a basic lipgloss.
Overall I love this company and their products. 10/10
... Read moreOkay, so I absolutely have to spill the tea on my Gisou journey, especially after seeing all the buzz about their honey-infused products! I honestly procrastinated for ages, but now I can confidently say: it's 100% worth the hype. I’ve incorporated several Gisou items into my routine, and each one has truly elevated my self-care game. If you've been curious about the Gisou aesthetic and whether their haircare and body products live up to their reputation, keep reading!
Let’s start with the star player for many: the Gisou Honey Infused Hair Mask. This comes in that iconic jar that many of you have probably seen floating around, often with its signature pink accents. My hair drinks this up! I typically apply it a few hours before washing my hair, sometimes even leaving it on overnight for an intensive treatment. After rinsing, my hair feels incredibly 'repaired,' strong, and unbelievably soft – it’s like a reset button for my strands. If you're looking for a mask that truly delivers on its promise of healthy, shiny hair, this is it. It’s part of what makes the Gisou haircare lineup so exceptional.
Then there’s the Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil. This miracle worker is my secret weapon against frizz. A few drops after styling, and my hair is not only smooth and silky but also boasts a gorgeous, healthy shine. I also love using it as a pre-shampoo treatment, massaging it into my scalp and ends for an extra boost of nourishment. It's fantastic for taming flyaways throughout the day without weighing my hair down.
The Leave-In Conditioner has become my go-to for refreshing my hair. When my hair feels a bit dry or tangled while brushing, a quick spritz of this acts like a hair spray and detangler, making styling so much easier and leaving it feeling soft and manageable. It's such a versatile product!
And it’s not just about the hair! The Gisou Body Oil leaves my skin feeling incredibly smooth and soft. It absorbs beautifully without any greasy residue, giving my skin a lovely, subtle glow. It's perfect for post-shower hydration.
Finally, the Beauty Balm is a true multi-tasker. I use it like Vaseline on all my typically dry areas – elbows, knees, cuticles, and even my lips overnight. It creates an amazing protective barrier that locks in moisture, leaving those spots feeling incredibly supple. This balm is a lifesaver, especially during colder months.
For those wondering about the Gisou set options or smaller sizes like the 'honey pups' (which often refers to their adorable mini versions like the 75ml hair mask), they are fantastic for travel or for trying out the products before investing in the full sizes. The amber packaging with those delicate pink accents just adds to the luxurious experience. While I did find the watermelon lipgloss a bit overpriced for what it was, every other product I’ve tried has been a solid 10/10. I'm definitely eyeing their hair perfumes, hair serum, face oil, and the shampoo and conditioner next to complete my Gisou routine!
