I've been dealing with a lot of emotions, from the physical pain of the removal to the immense surprise and adjustment of my unexpected pregnancy. If you're considering Nexplanon or are due for removal, please be aware that experiences can vary wildly. While many have smooth sailing, some of us encounter significant pain during the procedure, unexpected scarring, or even the rare but devastating birth control fail like mine. It's so important to be an advocate for your own health. Before getting any birth control implant, ask detailed questions about the insertion and removal procedures, potential side effects like abdominal pain, and what to expect during recovery and aftercare. My advice? Listen to your body, track any unusual symptoms, and don't hesitate to get a second opinion if something doesn't feel right. My journey has definitely opened my eyes to the complexities and sometimes unpredictable nature of hormonal birth control.
