Why can’t more companies offer meals?
Let me say it straight, meal prep’s so dumb. I work 9 to 6 and come home exhausted, and thought it’d make weeknights easier. Spoiler: it doesn’t. Spending Sunday chopping veggies and cooking chicken. By Wednesday, that chicken’s rubbery, veggies are mushy, and I’m staring at it like Is this better than a frozen burrito?
I’d rather throw together a 20-minute fresh meal each night even when I’m tired than eat fridge leftovers that taste like nothing. And don’t get me started on buying food, $15 lunch daily adds up fast and I can’t swing that weekly.
Why can’t more companies offer meals? No more meal prep, no draining my wallet on takeout. It’d solve everyone’s time and effort. Am I the only one who thinks meal prep’s dumb? Do you force it, splurge on takeout, or wish your office had free food too?
You don’t have to cook all the food on the same day. You can prep the veggies to be cooked and cook them the day of. Also prepping 2-3 different meals a week helps me. Here is what I do: I do a big meal on Sunday’s for Sunday dinner that’s when I cook a protein that I plan on eating for that day and pack it for lunch the next day along with whatever veggies I decide on having for the week that’s usually something that takes longer to cook like stewed chicken By Tuesday im over the meal so I usually cook something easy like a pasta dish n pair it with the veggies Wednesday is usually the day i eat chicken nuggets or order pizza because I have a toddler and that’s what he wants Thursday i usually cook again something quick cause I’m tired of the same old meals Friday is grocery day so I usually pick up something or a quick meal cause I’m tired Saturday is when I clean out the fridge so the food I didn’t eat from the past week gets frozen for one of those days I don’t feel like cooking but don’t want nuggets n fries I hope this helps
