This book has everything I adore—it's emotional, steamy, and just brimming with heart. The story of Penelope and Miles is all about second chances, healing, and discovering love when you least expect it. Their chemistry is electric! What I loved most was how their relationship evolved; their connection has so much depth. Corinne Michaels really knows how to build that bond, and I found myself cheering for them every step of the way. Miles is everything you'd want in a hero—strong, patient, and ready to fight for what he loves. I adored how he genuinely invested time and effort into wooing Penny and sweeping her off her feet. Their romance is a beautiful slow burn, filled with sweet, swoon-worthy moments. Plus, Miles' relationship with Penny's son, Kai, totally stole my heart. Their bond felt genuine and heartwarming—seeing him step into that role was lovely. Penelope's journey of healing and learning to open her heart again is beautifully crafted, and I felt every emotion right along with her. The added suspense kept me on the edge of my seat, giving just the right amount of tension to this already captivating romance. This book perfectly balances angst, sweetness, and suspense with moments that make you laugh and others that tug at your heartstrings. The pacing was spot on, and I couldn't put it down! It is a must-read!
🎧 Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor are two of my favorite narrators! They brought the characters to life and made the audiobook so much fun to listen to.
