𝙼𝚢 𝚃𝚑𝚘𝚞𝚐𝚑𝚝𝚜:
Get ready for a ride with 𝙈𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝙃𝙞𝙜𝙝 by Liz Tomforde! This book ticks all my boxes: enemies-to-lovers, hockey romance, a plus-size female main character, and secret dating packed with tension. Zanders and Stevie were perfection—their journey from enemies to lovers had me laughing, swooning, and feeling all the emotions. Their chemistry was off the charts, filled with sweet, tender moments and angsty tension. And that notes app scene? Pure gold. Zanders made Stevie feel like the queen she truly is, and their banter had me grinning. The mental health representation in this book was exceptionally well done. Zee has been in therapy for years, and it’s refreshing to see his growth and the importance of taking care of mental health highlighted in such an honest and relatable way. This added so much depth to the story. This one also had a forbidden romance—if anyone discovers their relationship, Stevie could lose her job, which adds even more tension to their connection. It made for such a great angsty story! The ending was emotional and perfect, and let’s not forget about the dogs—so adorable! 𝙈𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝙃𝙞𝙜𝙝 is an absolute must-read if you love a sports romance with sizzling chemistry, lots of spice, and a touch of forbidden romance!

ZANDERS
Chicago hockey isn't complete without me - everyone's favourite player to hate. I know my role, and I play it well. In fact, I thoroughly enjoy spending the majority of my game time in the penalty box before leaving the arena with a new girl on my arm each night.
What I don't like is the new flight attendant on our team's private plane. She works for me, not the other way around. But I'll be sure to remind her of that, and I can guarantee, by the end of the season, she'll be begging to quit her job.
But every road trip blurs the lines, and I can't quite figure out if I keep pushing that flight attendant call button in order to push her buttons, or if it's more than that.
STEVIE
I've been a flight attendant for years. I thought I'd seen it all, but when my new job lands me onboard working for the most egotistical and self-righteous diva in the NHL, I start to second guess everything. Including the promise I made to myself of never hooking up with an athlete again . . . no matter how annoyingly tempting he may be.
Evan Zanders is unfiltered, unapologetic, and too attractive for his own good. He loves his image, but I hate everything about it.
Everything but him.

Okay, so you've seen Mile High by Liz Tomforde popping up everywhere, and you're wondering what the hype is about? Let me tell you, this hockey romance is so much more than just a sports love story – it's an emotional rollercoaster with incredible depth. At its heart, Mile High introduces us to Evan Zanders, a notoriously grumpy and arrogant hockey star often in the penalty box, and Stevie, a no-nonsense flight attendant for his team. Talk about forced proximity and enemies-to-lovers! From their very first encounters on the private plane, the tension between them is palpable. Zanders, everyone's favorite player to hate, can't resist pushing Stevie's buttons, often through trivial requests. Meanwhile, Stevie, who's made a firm promise to herself about never hooking up with an athlete again after past experiences, finds herself annoyingly drawn to his magnetic pull. Their banter is pure gold, evolving from sharp retorts to incredibly sweet, tender moments that truly make your heart race. You'll find yourself grinning at their exchanges, especially that iconic notes app scene! What truly elevates this book is its incredible depth and realistic portrayal of characters. The mental health representation through Zanders's journey with therapy is handled with such honesty and care. It’s refreshing to see a male lead actively working on himself, showing growth and vulnerability, which adds so much to his character and their relationship. It portrays a realistic approach to mental health struggles, making the romance feel earned and genuine, and highlighting the importance of self-care and personal development. And let's not forget the forbidden romance aspect! Stevie's job is on the line if their secret relationship comes out, adding a delicious layer of angst and heightened stakes to every stolen glance and secret rendezvous. This constant threat makes their sizzling chemistry even more electrifying, making you root for them even harder. The book also features a fantastic plus-size female main character in Stevie, who is confident, capable, and never defined by her size – a powerful and empowering representation I absolutely adored. Her strength and no-nonsense attitude make her the perfect match for Zanders. This book delivers on all fronts: the spice is perfectly balanced with emotional depth, the found family among the team is heartwarming, and the journey from adversaries to soulmates is incredibly satisfying. Liz Tomforde masterfully crafts a story where Zanders makes Stevie feel like the queen she truly is, and their connection is undeniable. If you're looking for a sports romance that tackles real issues like mental health and forbidden love, while still giving you all the swoons and sizzling chemistry, Mile High is an absolute must-read. Seriously, by the end, you'll be begging for more of Vee and Zee!
