Hey everyone, Jaimee here! Since I'm new to Lemon8, I wanted to share a little more about my journey and what makes me tick. You know I'm a Doctor of Physical Therapy, but what does that really mean for my day-to-day? I absolutely love working with professional athletes. It's incredibly rewarding to help them recover from injuries, optimize their performance, and get back to doing what they love. It's not just about fixing problems; it's about understanding the intricate mechanics of the human body and pushing its limits safely, helping them avoid re-injury. My passion for fitness isn't just professional; it's deeply personal. I truly am a fitness fanatic! I'm constantly exploring new workout routines, experimenting with different supplements to see what truly fuels my body, and trying out the latest gear. For example, I'm currently obsessed with functional training workout sets that combine strength and mobility, and I'm always on the lookout for ergonomic travel gear that helps me stay comfortable and injury-free on long flights. It's all about finding what works best for my body and sharing those insights. For me, fitness is a lifestyle, not just a hobby. It's the energy I need to keep up with my adventurous life. Speaking of adventure, being a travel junkie is a huge part of who I am. I've been incredibly fortunate to live abroad in Czechia and the USA, and explore over 20 countries! How do I combine my fitness obsession with constant travel? It's all about planning and adaptability. I always pack my resistance bands and search for local gyms or scenic running routes wherever I go. It's amazing how much you can discover about a new place by exploring it on foot or finding unique ways to stay active. For instance, I once found an incredible outdoor calisthenics park in Prague, and that became my go-to spot for weeks! Another time, I discovered an amazing hiking trail in the Dolomites in Italy that really challenged my endurance – it was breathtaking! My goal is to show you that a healthy, active life is perfectly compatible with a wanderlust spirit. I've learned so many hacks for staying fit on the road, from quick hotel room workouts to finding healthy food options in new cities. Many people ask how I balance such a demanding career with my fitness and travel passions. It comes down to discipline and truly loving what I do. My work as a Doctor of Physical Therapy informs my fitness choices, and my fitness gives me the stamina for travel. It's a beautiful cycle! I often share my personal workout sets and travel itineraries on my socials, hoping to inspire others. I'm excited to dive deeper into specific topics here on Lemon8 – maybe a series on 'Fitness on the Go' or 'PT Tips for Everyday Athletes'? Or perhaps 'My Top 5 Fitness Travel Destinations'?
