Beauty Products on my Betrayal List Part 2
Here is part 2 of my Betrayal list!
Anua cleansing oil is viral Korean product that I cannot support! I love this brand but this cleansing oil feels off putting and smell weird! I do not like texture when I apply it on my skin!
Beauty of Joseon needs to stick to its original sunscreen formula! I hate this new sunscreen that was released in Sephora! It’s too greasy and it clogs my pores! Bring back the Relief Sunscreen formula!
Monday Haircare needs to go back to the drawing board with the curl mask! It is not moisturizing at all! If you are going to market to the curly hair community, you have to do better! My hair felt more dry after rinsing it out!
Byoma is an amazing brand but this face cream is way too oily! I am not a fan and sometimes causes pilling!

In the world of skincare and haircare, not every hyped product lives up to expectations. For example, Anua cleansing oil, despite its viral popularity in the Korean beauty community, has some drawbacks that can’t be overlooked. Many users, including myself, have noticed an off-putting smell and an unpleasant texture that doesn’t feel comfortable on the skin. While Anua is a well-loved brand, this particular product might not suit everyone, especially those sensitive to scents or texture inconsistencies. Moving on to sunscreens, Beauty of Joseon’s recent release has been problematic. Compared to the original Relief Sunscreen formula, which was lightweight and non-greasy, the new version available at Sephora feels too greasy and tends to clog pores, leading to breakouts. Sunscreens should protect the skin without causing discomfort or skin issues, so it’s understandable why loyal users demand a return to the original formula. Haircare is another area where products can fall short, especially when marketed to specific hair types. The Monday Haircare Curl Mask, which includes bamboo extract and promises moisturization for curly and coily hair, unfortunately lacks moisturizing power according to my experience. After rinsing, my hair felt drier rather than more hydrated, indicating the formula might need revision to truly cater to the moisture needs of curly hair textures. Lastly, Byoma's face cream, although from a reputable brand known for clean ingredients, was too oily for my preference and even caused pilling at times. Pilling can disrupt makeup application and reduce the overall effectiveness of skincare products, which is a key concern. It’s important to remember that skincare and haircare are highly personal, and what doesn’t work for one might suit another perfectly. Sharing honest feedback helps brands improve and helps fellow consumers make informed choices. If you've had similar experiences with these products or found better alternatives, sharing your thoughts can contribute to a supportive and knowledgeable beauty community.
