Yuji's ability to suppress Sukuna, even briefly, was astounding. It made him a walking ticking time bomb, yet he never let that deter him from his mission to help others. It gave us a baseline for who Yuji was, making the subsequent events of Shibuya even more impactful and heartbreaking.
