As a confirmed speaker on the topic of Sexuality and Cancer, I had the opportunity to connect with many survivors and healthcare professionals dedicated to improving quality of life beyond cancer treatment. Sexuality often remains a challenging topic for many cancer survivors. From my personal journey and professional practice in Singapore, I’ve observed that open conversations about sexual health can bring healing and confidence back into people's lives. It’s important to recognize that changes in body image, hormonal levels, and emotional wellbeing are natural after cancer, but they don't mean the end of intimacy. For those navigating life after cancer, I recommend engaging with local support groups like the Ostomy Association of Singapore where we share experiences and practical advice. Additionally, consulting a sexologist trained in cancer-related issues can be transformative in addressing unique concerns such as pain, desire fluctuations, and communication with partners. Incorporating eros coaching techniques and focusing on rebuilding sexual confidence have helped many of my clients rediscover pleasure and connection. Whether it’s through education, counseling, or therapeutic interventions, there is hope for a fulfilling sexual life post-cancer. If you are living with or beyond cancer, remember you are not alone. Embrace resources available and give yourself permission to explore your sexuality anew. Healing is holistic, and your intimate wellbeing deserves attention and care just as much as your physical recovery.
