Ever been called the black sheep of the family?

Maybe you questioned tradition. Chose a path your family did not understand. Loved across race, gender or culture. Or simply refused to become who everyone expected you to be.

Baa Baa Blacksheep: Confessions of the Family Rebels is a night of live storytelling and comedy celebrating the rebels, disruptors and cycle-breakers in our families.

Each performer gets five minutes to share the moment they realised they were different — whether hilarious, painful, shocking or liberating.

Expect laughter, gasps and plenty of “OMG, SAME.”

... Read moreBeing the 'black sheep' in a family can feel isolating at times, but it can also be a powerful badge of honor that highlights personal growth and courage. From my own experience, choosing a path that diverges from family expectations often involves facing misunderstanding and judgment, yet it opens doors to authentic living and self-discovery. Events like Baa Baa Blacksheep celebrate these unique journeys, providing a platform for voices that break the mold. The act of sharing these stories publicly can be hugely therapeutic—not only helping the storyteller process their experiences but also resonating deeply with others who may feel alone in their struggles. I remember the relief and laughter among attendees at similar storytelling nights when someone shared moments that felt painfully relatable—those moments of feeling out of place, questioning tradition, or loving beyond societal norms. The mixture of humor and honesty creates a welcoming atmosphere where empathy flourishes. Moreover, the context of this event supporting RainbowAsia adds a meaningful dimension—highlighting inclusion and support for LGBTQ+ communities. This reinforces the idea that being different isn’t just accepted but celebrated. If you’ve ever felt like the black sheep, attending or even performing at such events can be empowering. It’s a reminder that our differences contribute to a richer, more diverse tapestry of human experiences, and sometimes, being the black sheep means being the most honest person in the room.

I don’t understand why Glenn gets so much hate 🥲
As someone who actually saw and listened to Glenn's performance live, I honestly don’t think he deserves that intense hate. I saw his performance live back in Jan 2024 at TP out of curiosity. During the middle of his performance, it started to rain, so he stopped performing to take shelte
