Hey everyone! So, as you saw in my video, a week at Paul Mitchell The School Cleveland is always a whirlwind, especially now that I'm just weeks away from graduation! It's wild to think how fast time has flown, and I wanted to chat a bit more about what it’s really like, especially for those of you considering becoming an esthetician or joining PMTS Cleveland. One of the things I truly appreciate is the hands-on experience. Every morning starts with a 'morning huddle,' where we go over the day's agenda, client appointments, and any special announcements. It really helps set the tone and keeps everyone on the same page. Then it’s straight into setting up our beds for clients. We learn everything from perfect sanitation protocols to creating a relaxing atmosphere – it’s not just about the technical skills, but the client experience too! Throughout my program, I’ve gained so much practical knowledge. We started with the basics, but quickly moved on to more advanced treatments. I loved learning how to perform a '60 min. custom facial,' tailoring each step to the client's specific skin needs. And for those looking for something extra, we regularly perform 'facial with dermaplane add-on' treatments. Dermaplaning has become incredibly popular, and mastering the technique takes practice, but it's so rewarding to see the immediate glow on clients' faces. We also delved deep into advanced skincare, including 'chemical peels.' Understanding different peel types, their benefits, and how to safely apply them is crucial. It's a bit nerve-wracking at first, but with the instructors' guidance, you gain so much confidence. Beyond skincare, we also have training for 'makeup appointments,' which is fantastic for those interested in the beauty industry's broader spectrum. It’s all about enhancing natural beauty and making clients feel amazing. The curriculum at Paul Mitchell The School Cleveland truly prepares you for a diverse career. I'm so excited for graduation, but also a little nostalgic. These past months have been packed with learning, practicing, and growing.
