Toddler gear that made our vacation MUCH easier

I just got back from my first family vacation with my son! He absolutely loved the water and had a blast for the entire trip. I’ve done my fair share of traveling, but taking a baby along presents its own set of challenges. Traveling with a toddler means bringing a lot of items for things you don’t have to consider when packing for an adult - from diapers and extra hygiene products to a safe sleeping space if they’re not sleeping in a bed yet. In addition to the basics, here are a few things that I’d highly recommend to make the whole experience a little easier!

- toddler sized beach chair

This one is something I didn’t realize how much I’d use. Having a safe place to let my son sit on the beach where he couldn’t get handfuls of sand to eat (😅) was crucial - plus it was just adorable! I found this one at Aldi for $15 and it includes a little parasol for shade.

- booster/high chair seat

Feeding a tiny human presents its own challenges when they’re not able to sit in adult chairs yet. This seat was perfect for feeding my son while on vacation! It straps to any chair and has a removable tray, along with plates that fasten into the tray to prevent them being thrown.

- swim vest

My son hasn’t gone through swim lessons yet and I wanted to keep him as safe as possible while in the pool. This vest has an extra piece that goes under their chin to prevent their head from going into the water, and also allows them to float forward in a swimming position rather than vertically.

Overall I think the trip went super smoothly, and I’m glad I had the gear to make it easier! What are some other essentials when traveling with young kids?

... Read moreTraveling with toddlers requires thoughtful packing to ensure a smooth experience. Parents often face unique challenges, from ensuring their little ones are safe in the water to having proper seating arrangements during meals. To enhance your vacation experience, consider investing in a toddler-sized beach chair to provide a safe spot for your child to sit away from the sand and shade from the sun. Additionally, a versatile booster seat that attaches to different chairs can greatly simplify mealtime, allowing your child to dine comfortably. For safety, if you're planning on spending time in the pool, a swim vest is crucial. Look for one with added neck support to keep your toddler's head above water while allowing them to float comfortably. Many parents find these products make vacations more enjoyable by alleviating some of the stress associated with feeding and entertaining toddlers. Don’t forget to pack plenty of snacks, toys, and extra supplies to make your trip enjoyable and stress-free!
