Okay, fellow anime lovers, my partner and I are always asking ourselves, 'what anime should we watch next?' It's a never-ending quest for the perfect series to dive into after a long day (or even a killer gym session, if you're like us and need that post-workout chill time!). There are so many incredible shows out there, but when you're watching as a duo, you want something that really hooks both of you. So, I’ve put together a list of some absolute must-watch anime that my partner and I have loved, or are planning to watch next! First up, if you haven't seen it, you absolutely have to check out Attack on Titan. This show is a masterpiece. The storyline is so intense, the action is mind-blowing, and the characters are incredibly complex. Every episode leaves you on the edge of your seat, and it’s fantastic for sparking discussions with your viewing partner about theories and plot twists. We spent hours talking about what would happen next! It’s one of those series that just keeps getting better. Next, for something a bit more lighthearted but still incredibly engaging, I'd recommend Spy x Family. Seriously, if you want laughs, heartwarming moments, and some slick action, this is it. It’s about a spy, an assassin, and a telepath who form a fake family for a mission, and their antics are just priceless. Anya, the telepathic daughter, is iconic! It’s perfect for a duo that enjoys a mix of comedy and heartwarming family dynamics, with plenty of cool secret agent vibes. My partner and I crack up every episode. If you're into something with deep lore and a fantastic world-building, Jujutsu Kaisen is a must-see. The animation is top-tier, especially during the fight scenes, and the power system is super creative. Plus, the characters are incredibly charismatic. Gojo Satoru alone is worth the watch! It’s a great shonen series that combines action, horror, and humor really well. Watching the epic battles with someone else makes it even more exciting as you react together. The character designs are also super cool, and you can totally imagine some of the best duo poses coming out of this series – like Yuji and Todo or Gojo and his rivals! Finally, for a classic that still holds up, you cannot go wrong with Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. This anime has everything: incredible storytelling, emotional depth, fantastic action, and one of the best brotherly duos in anime history, Edward and Alphonse Elric. Their journey to get their bodies back is epic, heartbreaking, and inspiring. It’s a complete story, beautifully animated, and universally loved for good reason. My partner and I always recommend this one to anyone looking for a truly fulfilling anime experience. Finding that next perfect anime to watch with your favorite person is part of the fun.
