Everything is soo fake and superficial now a days 🥺
it really makes me sick to my stomach
And if ur honest ur the problem always , cuz you won’t feed into that fake nonsense everyone else spews
Lately, I've been feeling overwhelmed by how superficial and fake interactions can seem in daily life. It’s like authenticity is frowned upon or misunderstood. When you try to be honest and real, you often end up feeling like you’re the odd one out, almost as if you’re causing problems simply by refusing to engage in the fake nonsense around you. One thing I’ve learned from my own experiences is that staying true to yourself is tiring but incredibly rewarding in the long run. It’s important to recognize that not everyone you meet values honesty as much as you do, and that’s okay. Surrounding yourself with people who appreciate authenticity can help you avoid feeling isolated. In online and offline spaces, there's a constant pressure to fit in by echoing what everyone else says, even if it doesn’t align with your true feelings. But resisting that pressure and speaking your truth can open doors to deeper, more meaningful relationships. From a mental health perspective, pretending to be someone you’re not just to please others can be exhausting and damaging. I’ve found small steps like journaling my thoughts and seeking out like-minded communities can reinforce my sense of self and reduce the stress caused by superficial interactions. It also helps to accept that you can’t change everyone. Your honesty might irritate some, but it can inspire others to be more genuine too. Remember, being authentic isn’t about making everyone comfortable; it’s about honoring yourself even when it’s difficult.
