Adults can’t even fix a stuck door!!!!
I manage a cafeteria, so I see firsthand how many grown ups have zero critical thinking skills and it’s wild. Take today, the door to our serving area wouldn’t stay open. My team spent 15 minutes messing with it. Then they came to me, confused, like they’d hit a wall. The solution is to grab one of the door wedges we keep right by the door and prop it open. Literally that simple.
This isn’t a one time thing. All the time, people turn tiny problems into huge headaches cause they can’t step back and think. They just keep forcing the same fix like trying to jam a square peg into a round hole instead of looking for an easy answer.
It lowk scares me. No wonder things feel so chaotic sometimes. This essential skill’s either not being taught, or people just can’t use it. Instead of problem solving, they run to someone else every time they’re stuck. Guess this is why so many small things spiral out of control?
