When I faced a similar moment, acknowledging the wrongs I had done became the first step toward healing—not just for the other person involved, but for myself as well. One of the hardest parts is when words are left unsaid or when the opportunity to make amends slips away. I remember feeling a deep sense of sadness and regret, much like the phrases “And wrong my dear” and “since you went away” express in the shared OCR content. These feelings can weigh heavily on our minds and emotions. What helped me was allowing myself to fully feel these emotions and then channeling them into positive actions. Writing letters (even if they are never sent), talking to trusted friends, or seeking therapy can provide a safe outlet. It’s important to understand that healing is a process, and while we can’t change the past, we can carry the lessons forward. To anyone going through a similar experience, remember that self-forgiveness is as essential as asking for forgiveness. It’s a journey of becoming mindful about how we interact with others, learning from mistakes, and growing into a better version of ourselves. It’s normal to crave closure when someone says 'CIAO,' and although goodbyes are difficult, they often open the door to new beginnings and deeper self-awareness.
