... Read moreIt's always fun to peek into someone else's bag, right? But what truly makes something an 'essential' really depends on your daily life. For me, with school and all my activities, finding the perfect balance between practical and personal has been a journey. When I was putting together what goes into my new Christmas bag, I really thought about what I actually use every single day, not just what I think I should carry.
For instance, my school notebook isn't just for notes; it's where I jot down ideas, doodle, and keep myself organized. And my pencil pouch? It’s not just about pens; it’s a little piece of joy that makes studying a bit brighter. Speaking of studies, my Dell Inspiron 3501 laptop is a workhorse. Even though it doesn't quite fit inside this specific bag, it travels with me constantly. It’s perfect for essays, research, and yes, sometimes even a quick Sims session to unwind! On the flip side, my iPad 9th Gen is my go-to for personal growth – whether it's my daily Bible study or catching up on inspiring content. Having both ensures I'm always prepared for different tasks.
Then there are the non-negotiables for personal comfort and hygiene. As someone who wears contacts, having my Biotrue multi-purpose solution and contact case on hand is a must. And those days when my eyes just need a break, my glasses are there. You might have noticed I carry multiple lip balms – my lips truly do get dry 25/8, so having options like Carmex and even a fun mango lip balm is key for keeping them moisturized. Plus, in today's world, Lysol To Go and anti-bacterial hand gel are absolute lifesavers, especially when I’m out and about. It gives me peace of mind knowing I can quickly freshen up or disinfect surfaces.
Choosing the right bag is also part of finding your essentials. This new bag, for example, really caught my eye because it fits all my essentials, even if some things like my laptop need to be carried separately. The comfortable shoulder straps and the option of an extender strap make it super practical for my commute. It’s not just about what you carry, but how you carry it. I try to organize things into smaller pouches or the front pockets to keep everything easily accessible, so I’m not digging around endlessly. Think about your busiest day: what absolutely cannot be left behind? And what little comforts make your day better? That's usually a good starting point for curating your own perfect set of essentials. Remember, your bag should work for *you*!
