Protect your data from SHEIN
Just looking through my settings on SHEIN and realized this was on and I immediately turned it off. I don’t want anyone selling my data and I try to limit it as much as I can and so you should check the app to see if it’s on for you.
Go to your profile- the settings icon-scroll to the bottom- tap on “do not sell my personal information”- then tap on “sale of personal data” to toggle it off.
Stay safe!
In today's digital age, data privacy is a growing concern, especially when it comes to online shopping platforms like SHEIN. With the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), users in California have specific rights regarding their personal information. By understanding these rights, you can better protect your data. To ensure your settings are compliant, start by reviewing your privacy preferences within the SHEIN app. Navigate to your profile, access the settings, and disable the 'sale of personal data' option. This action prevents SHEIN from selling your personal information to third parties, ensuring that your data remains private. It's also crucial to recognize the role of cookies in your browsing experience. While essential cookies support basic functionalities, you have the right to manage your consent preferences for analytics and targeted advertising. By opting out of cookies used for personalized ads, you can enhance your privacy, although it may limit personalization in your experience. Additionally, explore opportunities for further protection by utilizing privacy controls available in your web browser. These tools can block tracking and manage how your data is used across various sites, aligning with your personal privacy goals. Always stay informed about your rights and the latest regulations on data protection, as these can change and impact your online privacy. Remember, taking proactive steps in managing your digital footprint is essential for safe online shopping.
