Replying to @Lorenzo_Bandzz getting wisdom teeth pulled in 2014. I really wanted to paint on anesthesia #wisdomteeth
Having my wisdom teeth pulled was quite an experience, but what made it really unique was my desire to paint while still under the effects of anesthesia. It sounds unusual, but the idea of expressing creativity despite the discomfort and grogginess intrigued me. During the recovery period, I found myself wanting to channel the unusual sensations and emotions into artwork. However, it was a challenge balancing the need to rest and the urge to create. At one point, I had collected various art supplies, but emotions ran high when some of those items were thrown away by my mom, which made me frustrated because I wanted to save materials for future projects. I realized that staying motivated to create after a medical procedure requires a supportive environment, and understanding from family about personal belongings and creative needs is essential. Despite feeling tired and a bit overwhelmed, the experience was cathartic. It also highlighted how art can be a comforting outlet during recovery. For anyone going through a similar dental surgery, I would recommend having some simple and safe art supplies nearby, like newspapers for inspiration or sketch pads, to capture feelings and thoughts without exerting too much energy. Just remember to prioritize rest and listen to your body while embracing whatever creative impulses come your way. Painting or drawing during recovery can transform a challenging time into something more meaningful and personally rewarding.
