Bible Study Breakdown for BEGINNERS
As promised here's how I breakdown my notes to make Bible study a little easier for me
1: SCRIPTURE
I like to write so for a short section like this I start by writing EVERYTHING out and highlighting key details. In this example I combined two translations because that's how I can understand what's being said. (For 37/38 the KJV had confusing language to me)
2: DESCRIPTION
This is a direct description of what is being talked about, the theme of the scripture, or what we're meant to take from it. This is the most difficult section in my opinion but watching YouTube Bible Study videos on the specific chapter helps for guidance.
3: MY TAKE AWAY
This is similar to description except it's what you personally took away from the scripture. It can be how it made you feel, a change you need to make, how it applies to what you're going through, etc.
4: MY PRAYER
Specific prayer is very important but I find it difficult to do at times so this is super helpful. I write a prayer that helps me apply whatever my take away from the scripture is.
