hands UP ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป to my fav korean restaurant ! ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ท

Finally went down to try this and this is now my favourite korean restaurant!! Situated at marina square, Rolling Rice Marina Square #02-105 had a queue even before dinner peak hour.

The menu for this place was really extensive and has wide variety of gimbap, hot plate, bibimbap, stews and sides. Thereโ€™s free self service water and seaweed soup at the counter so we didnt order any drinks.

We ordered Soft Tofu Stew, Hot Pot Bulgogi and Salmon & Cheese Roll.

MUST ORDERS are definitely the Soft Tofu Stew and Hot Pot Bulgogi โ€” both were packed with ingredients and bursting with flavor. The Soft Tofu Stew had silky smooth tofu, a rich and savoury broth with just the right level of spice, and plenty of seafood and vegetables that made every spoonful comforting and satisfying.

The Hot Pot Bulgogi was another standout โ€” tender, marinated beef simmering in a sweet-savoury broth filled with glass noodles, mushrooms, and veggies. Itโ€™s the kind of dish that warms you up instantly and keeps you going back for more.

The Salmon & Cheese Roll, however, was a little disappointing. While the portion was decent, the flavours didnโ€™t quite come together โ€” the cheese overpowered the roll instead of complementing it. It wasnโ€™t bad, but Iโ€™d probably skip it next time and try one of their other gimbaps instead.

Portion sizes were quite generous, and prices were reasonable considering the quality and location. The service was also quick and efficient, even though the restaurant was pretty packed.

Overall, I totally understand why thereโ€™s always a queue here โ€” the food, portions, and atmosphere make it worth the wait. Definitely coming back to try more dishes next time! ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ท

... Read moreIf youโ€™re visiting Rolling Rice Marina Square #02-105, here are some extra tips based on my experience that might help enhance your visit: 1. Menu Variety: Aside from the dishes I tried, their menu features a wide range of Korean classics including bibimbap options, various hot plates, and numerous side dishes. For vegetarians, their special vegetarian bibimbap and garlic beef fried rice (though not vegetarian) come highly rated โ€” do ask the staff about vegetarian options. 2. Pricing & Portions: The prices are affordable for the quality, ranging around $7.90 to $16.90 for popular items like the tofu stew and bulgogi hot pot. Portions are generous, so itโ€™s great for sharing or a hearty meal. 3. Drinks: Thereโ€™s free self-service water and seaweed soup available, which complements the spicy and rich flavors well without needing extra drinks. 4. Popular Items Not to Miss: Their stone pot bibimbap and kimchi fried rice also receive great feedback. If you enjoy seafood, the clam and minced pork in the soft tofu stew add a deep umami flavor. 5. Atmosphere and Service: Despite being busy, service is quick and efficient, which makes your dining stress-free. 6. Location & Accessibility: Situated conveniently at 6 Raffles Blvd in Marina Square, itโ€™s easy to reach by public transport or for a day of shopping and dining. 7. Tips for Next Visit: Skip the salmon & cheese roll if you prefer balanced flavors, and try other gimbap variations instead. Also, consider visiting slightly earlier or on weekdays to avoid long queues. Overall, Rolling Rice is a fantastic choice for those craving authentic Korean flavors in Marina Square. The cozy atmosphere, impressive menu diversity, and flavorful dishes will keep you coming back for more.

This korean restaurant makes tofu from scratch !
Most Korean restaurants buy their tofu. This one makes it fresh in-house. ๐Ÿ‘€ We ordered their beef & pork tofu stews, bulgogi hot stone bibimbap, potato pancake, and hairtail fish โ€” enough for 3โ€“4 people and surprisingly affordable. ๐Ÿ“Wonderful Bapsang, Suntec ๐Ÿ’ฐ Only about $20โ€“30/pax
