First visit to Shenzhen

impressive city, advanced, broad walk ways but yet dangerous to walk.

Cashless payment is convenient but you scan and scan without realising you over spent 😃😅

if one thing they can further improve, that will be restricting their escooters on walkways around shopping malls. an escooter almost hit us, he didn't horn us but zoom beside so fast.

One striking feature is the widespread use of cashless payments, which streamlines shopping but can also lead to unintentional overspending—it's so easy to scan and pay without noticing the total adding up. An important caution for visitors is watching out for electric scooters that zoom rapidly along pedestrian paths, especially around shopping malls. Unlike cars or bikes, these e-scooters often don't signal or slow down, creating sudden close calls for pedestrians. Restricting their access to walkways could vastly improve safety and ease of movement. Shenzhen’s bustling markets offer a vast choice of products, sometimes reminiscent of other well-known shopping districts, but note that prices might seem a bit high and negotiating could be necessary. Exploring local editions of popular gadgets and novelty items like the 'Kitty Edition' or the famous Insta360 cameras can be exciting. Overall, Shenzhen combines a forward-looking cityscape with some everyday challenges, making it crucial for newcomers to stay aware while enjoying its dynamic atmosphere. Planning your visit with knowledge of these aspects will enhance your experience and keep your explorations safe and enjoyable.
