Today felt like a quiet miracle in my kitchen.
I spent the whole day cooking — just me, my playlist, warm spices in the air, and a deep sense of peace I haven’t felt in a long time.
And everything turned out beautiful:
• Collard greens with so much flavor
• Bubbly, golden mac & cheese
• A perfectly roasted turkey
• Sweet potatoes that tasted like home
• Rice + cozy sides that made the whole house smell comforting
But here’s the part that means the most:
Last year, we were in a shelter.
This year, we’re celebrating our FIRST Thanksgiving in our own home.
