Planning a trip to NYC soon? Need a fun Galentines Day activity for you and your friends?? Check out Happy Medium in Manhattan. Happy Medium is an art cafe where you can choose your project off the menu. Everything about this place is such a vibe and the atmosphere was great. I would 10/10 recommend going here- make sure you have a reservation first :)

Three of us made collages, two of us painted pottery and one of us did the air dry clay option. I wish they had some newer magazines for the collages because the majority were very picked over and took a long time to find images. We also were smushed into a very tiny table with 6 of us- I suppose we could’ve asked for a larger table whoops

I think this was my favorite activity of the weekend in NYC, what can I say I LOVE my art projects and seeing my non artsy friends be artsy!!

Each option gives you a unique way to express your creativity. For collages, you're given a base and access to a huge collection of magazines and papers. My tip from personal experience: if you're a serious collage artist, you might want to bring a few of your own favorite magazines to supplement their collection, as some popular ones can be picked over. For 'Paint-A-Pot,' you select from a variety of ceramic pieces, and they provide all the paints and brushes you need to create your masterpiece. The 'Air-Dry Clay' is fantastic for sculpting small figures or functional pieces, and it's so satisfying to work with. Regarding 'happy medium prices'—they operate on a per-project basis, and it's pretty reasonable for a unique NYC experience. While I won't list exact figures, expect it to be comparable to other specialty art activities in the city.
