I built this giant Minecraft Bee only using cardstock paper! There is no glue or tape holding this together! it's all the folding technique.
I built this on Livestream over a few weeks so here is the progress!
I used a folding method often associated with business cards, commonly referred to as business card cubes.

So, you saw my giant Minecraft Bee, right? You might be wondering how I pulled off a build that huge with absolutely NO glue or tape! It’s all thanks to an ingenious folding method often called the 'business card cube' technique. It’s truly fascinating how simple cardstock can interlock to create something so sturdy and impressive without any adhesive at all. When I started this project, I knew I wanted to challenge myself, and bringing a Minecraft Bee to life in a tangible way felt like the perfect DIY adventure. The process began with meticulous cutting of countless yellow, black, and blue paper squares for the head, as you might have seen in my Week 1 progress. Precision is key with this method, because every single fold and cut has to align perfectly for the pieces to snugly fit together. This isn't just a craft; it's a puzzle you build! As the weeks progressed, the giant Minecraft bee slowly took shape. Week 2 saw the body starting to form, adding those distinct brown stripes. It was incredible to watch the structure grow, seeing how the individual layered paper pieces formed the robust shell. By Week 3 and Week 4, the scale of the project really started to become apparent. Holding the partially constructed body, with its hollow interior, gave me such a sense of accomplishment. The image of the computer screen with a Minecraft bee in the background during Week 3 was my little inspiration, keeping the vision clear. Finally, by Week 5, the main body was complete, and adding the delicate white wings was the ultimate finishing touch. It's a testament to patience and careful construction. If you're looking for fun things to do in Minecraft that extend beyond the screen, a papercraft project like this is incredibly rewarding. It allows you to transform virtual designs into physical art, which is super cool for what to build in Minecraft creative sessions. For anyone thinking about tackling a similar Minecraft papercraft bee or any other blocky creature, here are a few tips I learned along the way: Start with good quality cardstock paper, as it holds its shape much better. Don't rush the cutting; accurate pieces make for a much easier assembly. And most importantly, enjoy the process! It's amazing to create something so detailed and large, all from paper and pure folding technique. It's totally possible to make your own Minecraft bee diy without a drop of glue or tape.
