Lasagna soup is a delightful and heartwarming dish that combines the best elements of traditional lasagna in a comforting soup format. This recipe offers versatility, allowing for various pasta shapes, though campanelle is recommended for its texture. Start with sautéing ground beef and sausage, enhancing flavor with onions and garlic. Adding diced tomatoes and tomato paste provides a rich base, while seasoning with oregano and basil gives it that authentic Italian taste. Don't shy away from experimenting with different pasta types, but keep in mind that regular lasagna noodles may dissolve in soup. The key is to simmer everything together, ensuring the flavors meld brilliantly. For a cheesy finish, incorporate ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan according to your preference, transforming this soup into a creamy, indulgent meal. Pair with crusty bread or a fresh salad for a complete dinner option that family and friends will love. Enjoy this comforting dish, perfect for cozy gatherings or as a hearty weeknight meal!
