Cafe Catmandoo is a Nepali fusion brunch place located in Woodside NYC✨

We had their strawberry matcha latte and vanilla coffee with foam. I lovee love their vanilla foam coffee and I have gone back few times to just get the coffee. For entree we got their catmandoo special which was a mix of chickpea curry and nepali wheat bread! Their burrata bread was really good too!

... Read moreOkay, so let me tell you more about my absolute gem of a find, Cafe Catmandoo! You know how sometimes you stumble upon a place and it just clicks? That's exactly how I felt about this incredible Nepali fusion brunch spot. It's nestled right in Woodside, NYC, offering a refreshing break from the usual brunch scene. When I first heard about Catmandoo Cafe, I was intrigued by the 'Nepali fusion' concept, and honestly, it exceeded all my expectations. First off, let's talk about the ambiance. It's got this cozy, inviting vibe that makes you feel right at home. It's not overly fancy, which I love, but it's clean, bright, and perfect for a relaxed weekend meal or even a quick coffee run. The staff are super friendly too, which always makes an experience better, right? Now, onto the stars of the show! You must try their vanilla foam coffee. Seriously, I've gone back multiple times just for that drink. It's perfectly balanced – not too sweet, with this dreamy, velvety foam that just melts in your mouth. It’s the kind of coffee that makes you slow down and savor each sip. Paired with their strawberry matcha latte, which is equally delightful and vibrant, you're set for a great start. For the food, the Catmandoo special is non-negotiable for a first-timer. It's a fantastic introduction to their Nepali flavors. Imagine a rich, aromatic chickpea curry – not overly spicy, but bursting with earthy spices – served alongside fluffy, warm Nepali wheat bread. It's incredibly satisfying and comforting. Don't overlook the burrata bread either; it's a testament to their fusion approach, blending familiar favorites with unique twists. What I truly appreciate about Cafe Catmandoo is how they masterfully blend traditional Nepali cuisine with modern brunch elements. It's an adventure for your taste buds! If you’re ever exploring the vibrant food scene in Queens, especially around Woodside or even if you're looking for something unique near Jackson Heights NYC, this Nepali fusion brunch spot is a definite must-visit. It's a culinary journey that’s both authentic and exciting. A little tip for visiting: it can get quite popular, especially during peak brunch hours on weekends, so be prepared for a short wait, but trust me, it's worth it. Prices are really reasonable for NYC, offering great value for the quality and unique experience you get. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to add Cat Man Doo to your list. It's more than just a meal; it's a delightful experience that I keep coming back for!
