DOLOMITES 5D4N PART II

Dolomites Part II

pretty much as scenic as Part I. But let’s be honest, its the UNESCO dolomiti afterall.

Here’s my mini part 2 itinerary

- Visited 3 lakes

💚 pic 2-3: Lago di Carezza – Emerald waters that glow under the sun🌲

🧡 pic 4-6: Lago di Dobbiaco – A perfect alpine mirror reflecting mountains & clouds 🌤

🤍 pic 7: Lago di Braies – fairytale charm, wooden boats & turquoise waters 🚤

- 2 hikes which are both unforgettable.

🌿pic 8-9: Santa Maddalena, enjoyable 2km trail with views that stopped us at our tracks

⛰️ pic 10: Tre Cime di Lavaredo, A 10 km circuit which was very manageable, even for those who rarely exercised can finished it and feel proud. With our parents joining, we picked routes that were friendly for all ages. Somehow their stamina put mine to shame 🤓

Dolomites

... Read moreBeyond the incredible sights of the lakes and trails I visited in Part II, the Dolomites offer a wealth of experiences that can enrich your 5-day itinerary even further. For example, exploring local alpine villages provides a glimpse into Tyrolean culture and delicious regional cuisine. Small towns near the lakes like Dobbiaco and Braies have charming cafes where you can savor authentic Italian mountain dishes and freshly brewed coffee after your hikes. If you have an interest in history or architecture, consider visiting Ladin museums or churches in the region, which highlight the unique heritage of the Dolomite valleys. This adds depth to your walking holidays in Italy beyond natural landscapes. Also, for those who want to capture these memories, Lago di Carezza offers a webcam live view which can help you time your visit to catch the best light and avoid crowds, making photography a breeze. The hiking routes in the Dolomites can be tailored depending on your stamina and interests. While the Tre Cime di Lavaredo circuit is manageable even for beginners, there are longer, more challenging trails for avid hikers seeking adventure. It’s helpful to research trail difficulty and prepare accordingly for a rewarding experience. By blending scenic lakes, diverse hikes, cultural encounters, and practical planning tips into your Dolomites walking holiday, you’ll create lasting memories while discovering the region’s many treasures.

Is visiting the Dolomites really that expensive?
The answer sadly is…yes if you want to conquer all the famous tourist attractions during high season in summer 🥺 the chairlifts/cable cars and parking can add up to quite a lot - for example, reserving a parking space at Tre Cime for the hike is 40 euros (that is about 60 sgd), which is essenti

On Day 2 of going on hikes in Bolzano, we decided to head to the Rittner Horn trail today! Like the Knottnkino trail you can get the Mobilcard which covers the prices of most of the buses, small trains and cable cars! From the town of Bolzano you can take the cable car up towards the station,

our take on the places in western sichuan 🏔️🇨🇳💬
I shared about my itinerary in a previous post, and I know 8 days in the mountains might seem like a lot! With limited annual leave, some might prefer balancing nature with city exploration. Since planning this trip was pretty hard (there’s not much English review content out there), I hope this

After our epic day hiking Changping Valley , we headed to Shuangqiao Valley (双桥沟) the next day for a different experience at Mt. Siguniang. This valley is way more accessible thanks to sightseeing buses that do all the work for you. We got to see stunning alpine lakes with mountain reflections, wa
