How to find a simple early / end of the month date on Excel 💼

⏰ if we want to find the beginning-end of the day, we can use the EOMONTH formula.
-If you want to find the end of the month, put the formula = EOMONTH (Day 0)
- To find the date of the beginning of the month, put the formula = EOMONTH (Date, -1) + 1
🤔, friends may wonder what the after-comma number we put after the date is actually the number of months that count forward. If it is negative 1, it means that it counts down to 1 month. So we will see that when we find the end of the month, put 0 because the EOMONTH formula will automatically find the end of the month. But the formula for the beginning of the month, we will have to go back 1 month and add it back to 1, which is the number of days. 🥳

หลายคนเจอปัญหาเดียวกับเราเลยคือ มี “วัน” อยู่ในตารางแล้วต้องสรุปเป็นช่วงต้นเดือน-สิ้นเดือนเพื่อทำรายงานยอดขาย/สรุปค่าใช้จ่าย แต่ไม่อยากนั่งไล่ปฏิทินเองทุกครั้ง วิธีที่เร็วมากคือใช้สูตร EOMONTH และจัดตารางให้ใช้งานต่อได้ง่ายค่ะ 1) สูตร EOMONTH คืออะไร? EOMONTH คือฟังก์ชันที่คืนค่า “วันสิ้นเดือน” จากวันที่ที่เรากำหนด โดยมีรูปแบบ =EOMONTH(start_date, months) - start_date = วันที่ตั้งต้น (เช่น 10/12/2025) - months = จำนวนเดือนที่เลื่อนไปข้างหน้า/ถอยหลัง 2) ใช้หาวันสิ้นเดือน (End of Month) ถ้าอยากได้วันสิ้นเดือนของเดือนเดียวกับวันที่ตั้งต้น ให้ใส่ months เป็น 0 ตัวอย่าง: ถ้า A2 = 10/12/2025 - วันสิ้นเดือน: =EOMONTH(A2,0) ผลลัพธ์จะได้ 31/12/2025 3) ใช้หาวันต้นเดือน (Start of Month) Excel ไม่มีฟังก์ชัน “ต้นเดือน” ตรงๆ แต่เราทำได้ด้วยการถอยไปสิ้นเดือนก่อนหน้า แล้วบวก 1 วัน - วันต้นเดือน: =EOMONTH(A2,-1)+1 จากตัวอย่าง A2 = 10/12/2025 จะได้ 01/12/2025 4) ทำ “ตัวอย่างตาราง Excel” ให้ใช้งานจริง เรามักจัดคอลัมน์ประมาณนี้เพื่อให้เอาไป Pivot/สรุปต่อได้ง่าย - A: วันที่ทำรายการ (เช่น 10/12/2025) - B: วันต้นเดือน =EOMONTH(A2,-1)+1 - C: วันสิ้นเดือน =EOMONTH(A2,0) - D: เดือน-ปีสำหรับจัดกลุ่ม (เช่น 12-2025) คอลัมน์เดือน-ปีทำได้หลายแบบ เช่น - =TEXT(A2,"mm-yyyy") (ได้ “12-2025”) หรือถ้าอยากให้เป็นแบบไทยอ่านง่าย - =TEXT(A2,"[$-th-TH]mmmm yyyy") 5) ทริคเรื่อง “วันเดือนปี” ที่มักพลาด ถ้าวันที่ใน Excel กลายเป็นตัวเลขแปลกๆ (เช่น 45637) แปลว่าเซลล์นั้นเป็น “วันที่จริง” แต่ถูกฟอร์แมตเป็นตัวเลข ให้ไปที่ Format Cells > Date หรือ Custom แล้วตั้งเป็น dd/mm/yyyy อีกอย่างคือ ถ้าพิมพ์วันที่แล้วสูตรไม่ทำงาน ให้เช็กว่าเซลล์เป็น Date ไม่ใช่ Text (ลองเปลี่ยนรูปแบบแล้วกด F2 ตามด้วย Enter) ใช้ชุดนี้แล้วเวลาทำรายงานรายเดือนจะเร็วขึ้นมาก เพราะวันต้นเดือน/สิ้นเดือนเปลี่ยนให้เองอัตโนมัติ แค่เปลี่ยนวันที่ตั้งต้นค่ะ
