It took 3 hours & 3 minutes, to draw this idea in my mind.
This is my second artwork piece of the year. So I’ll officially start posting - all of my drawings and the process that comes with it, along the way. And so all of you guys can follow the progress and growth through each different post, stage, and drawing that I do.
And also one little request is all that I ask: if you wanna draw my artwork price or my OC, into your art-style then please give credit where credit is due. Or at least tag me in the post is all that I ask. Otherwise, you’ve my permission to draw my artwork.
And I appreciate all those that are following me already. And that coming along with the process, and also along for the journey. I wanted to say that I enjoy your company. Thank you you all. And I hope that you guys are staying safe and healthy. So I wish you guys a good morning, afternoon, evening, or night. Whenever, you might be have a great rest of your day.
Hey everyone! Seeing my journey unfold with 'Drawing of the Day' has been so rewarding, and I truly believe anyone can start or continue their own creative path. You know, sometimes getting getting started is the hardest part, especially when you're staring at a blank page wondering what to draw. That's why I wanted to share some of my go-to tips and cool, easy drawing ideas to spark your imagination, whether you're just picking up a pencil or looking for fresh inspiration. First off, for those moments when you're completely bored and just need to sketch something, try these simple prompts: Nature's Simplicity: A single leaf, a cloud, a simple flower, or a cute mushroom. These have natural variations, so no two drawings will be exactly alike! Everyday Objects: Your favorite coffee mug, a pair of glasses, a book on your shelf, or even a houseplant. They're right there, accessible, and great for practicing perspective. Cute Doodles: Think simple animals like a cat or dog face, tiny monsters, or expressive emojis. These are fantastic for quick sketches and developing your own style. Many of you also ask about basic drawing skills. Honestly, consistency is key! Start with fundamental shapes – circles, squares, triangles – and learn how to combine them to form more complex objects. Don't be afraid to trace or use reference images; it’s a brilliant way to understand proportions and light. And remember, every artist, no matter how famous, started somewhere. My own process often involves rough sketches before I even think about refining. Tools like ibisPaint, which I often use, can make the digital art process incredibly fun and forgiving, allowing for easy corrections and experimentation with colors. When it comes to the 'stages of idea development in art,' mine usually goes like this: Inspiration Hunting: This can come from anywhere – a phrase I hear, a scene I see, a feeling, or even a random thought. Pinterest, nature walks, or just observing daily life are great for this. Rough Sketching: I get the basic concept down quickly, not worrying about perfection. This is where the 'bones' of the idea form. Refinement: I start adding details, thinking about composition, light, and shadows. This stage can take the longest. Execution & Finishing: Whether it's traditional or digital (hello, ibisPaint!), this is where the artwork comes to life. I focus on bringing out those emotions or messages I wanted to convey. Ultimately, the most important thing is to enjoy the process and as the image says, "Let your path shine brighter than any star in the sky above." Every line you draw, every color you choose, adds to your unique artistic journey. Keep practicing, keep exploring, and don't forget to share your amazing creations!
