The book focuses on 5 siblings in West Virginia who are isolated and adhere strictly to their old family traditions and rituals. When their father dies and the ritual doesn’t go according to plan, the siblings have to navigate what their next steps will be.
The story itself is beautiful and the dynamic of the family really speaks to so many dysfunctional families.
