unicorns Galore
The final painting for our unicorn themed print club is finished and ready to print! I wanted to play with the full idea of unicorns being magical and mystical. What little girl has not played in the yard pretending she had her own unicorn. What grown woman doesn’t still hope to find out they’re real and that their personal unicorn has been hanging out waiting for them all along. Theses beautiful idea for this painting really spiraled from that idea of imagination and never fully giving up your child like spirit. Here we see a carousel spinning through the deep woods, a woman ready to conquer the world from her plastic unicorn steed. She’s a baddie living in a moment of fantasy. An escape from reality. Something we all might feel we need now and again.
This painting will be the second print in the forest tier of the echoes and trees print club. Prints will mail out along with the folklore field guide on May 20th. If you’re interested in getting a copy of this print, make sure to sign up by May 20th for a PAID Patreon membership, linked in my bio!
Unicorns have always symbolized magic, purity, and the boundless creativity of childhood. In my experience, art that taps into this mythical allure does more than decorate a room—it inspires a sense of wonder and personal empowerment. This latest unicorn-themed painting beautifully captures that feeling, transforming childhood fantasies into a bold, contemporary statement. When I first encountered this artwork, I was drawn to how it blends nostalgia with a modern ‘baddie’ attitude—a strong woman ready to conquer the world atop her plastic unicorn steed. This imagery resonates deeply, reminding us to keep our inner child alive while embracing our adult ambitions. For anyone who’s ever dreamed of escapism through art, joining this print club offers more than just a print. It’s a chance to own a piece that fuels imagination, invites storytelling, and connects with the folklore that enriches our cultural heritage. The inclusion of a folklore field guide adds unique value, blending visual art with mythological context—a perfect way to deepen the experience. If you’re considering getting involved, I recommend signing up for the Patreon to secure your print before the deadline. This kind of thematic collection also encourages me personally to create my own artworks inspired by mythology and fantasy, which helps keep my artistic practice fresh and meaningful. Ultimately, artworks like these remind us that the magic we imagined as children can continue to inspire and empower us throughout our lives, making each day a little more magical and full of possibility.
