Hamlet's story 🫶

When Hamlet and I first met, he was a 5 year old kitty who had been shipped off to my mom's after my half brothers ex girlfriend got a new kitten who didn't get along with him.
Before that he was born in a shelter and bought for his grandmother who loved him dearly until she sadly passed away.
Showing up at my mom's, little did he know, he'd be treated like her dogs. He go outside when he wanted to and didn't have a collar, litter box, or even his own food dish.
A couple months later I'd have to move back in with her do to complications in my life.
When I first saw him, I wont lie I was a little nervous. He was super cute but he was roughly 15lbs and was taller than her small dogs.
After seeing him stealing food, or bringing in his daily catch I began to wonder what I could do for him. So with what little money I had I went and bought him a collar, bed, literbox, and food.
We became inseparable, he'd follow me everywhere and bring me 'things'.. a little later in the year my older brother had split up with that girl and he came back to stay for a few nights and he had planned to take Hamlet home with him.
I had no idea, but even with my brother there he'd still follow me and we'd gotten close enough where he'd snuggle me.
My mom told my brother he couldn't separate us and that marked the day Hamlet officially became my best friend.
He was there when I got my first apartment, my first job, and when I started making money off my videos. (we've also been through 4 moves together at this point)
He turned 13 this year, has cat condos, tons of toys and a collar for every season. With tags that say his name and where to bring him if he were to ever get lost.
(I won't lie I'm crying while I write this cause if things were even slightly different I'm not sure I'd have my bestfriend in my life)
We now get to spend everyday together cause I'm so grateful to say I now work from home, and I can also say that I love him with all of my heart and soul, and I'm just so happy for how my life has turned around.
Hamlet also has a cat now, his honey, named Skadi~
They play and cuddle and it's so sweet, he even gets along with our free range rabbit who was surrendered to me after living in a small cage it's whole life.
If you're ever sad, or in a dark place in your life, just remember that it could all turn around in a blink of an eye, things truly do get better and you'll met people and animals who love you and help along the way. Youll meet those goals if you keep woking hard. Please keep your head up and NEVER give up.
