Feel It Friday: When You’re Holding Too Much
Have you ever paused—just for a moment—and realized how much you’ve been carrying?
The tension in your shoulders.
The clenching in your jaw.
The tightness in your chest.
We often move through our days so quickly, we don’t stop to notice the weight we’re holding. But our bodies know. They remember.
Your body remembers.
Your body keeps score.
And your body also knows how to let go.
Emotions don’t always show up in words. Sometimes they show up as fatigue, restlessness, or that familiar knot in your stomach. And healing doesn’t always begin with a breakthrough—it begins with a pause.
Letting go isn’t always logical.
It doesn’t have to make sense to your mind to be real for your body.
Sometimes, it starts with a subtle shift in your breath… or a gentle shake of your shoulders.
So today, give yourself permission to slow down. To feel what’s there. To soften into whatever your body is holding.
Because you don’t need to carry it all alone.
You were never meant to.

In our fast-paced lives, we often overlook the emotional weights we carry. Many people find they hold stress and tension unconsciously in their bodies, causing discomfort and fatigue. Intuitive techniques, such as grounding rituals, can help alleviate these burdens. To practice, find a quiet moment to connect with your breath and body. Stand or sit with your feet flat on the ground. Close your eyes and identify where you hold tension—be it in your jaw, chest, or stomach. With each exhale, gently shake or move that area, allowing your body to release what no longer serves you. Engaging in embodiment practices can deepen the connection between your mind and body. Shift your awareness to how emotions manifest physically—through sensations like tightness or discomfort. Journaling can also be a powerful tool for reflection. Consider prompts like, "What emotion have I been carrying that I haven't given myself permission to feel?" Such reflections can illuminate paths toward emotional healing. By tuning into your body’s wisdom and allowing yourself to feel, you gradually learn how to let go of burdens. Healing doesn’t always require immediate solutions; sometimes, it begins with simply pausing and listening to yourself. Allow this process to become a routine aspect of your self-care, as you deserve moments of peace and healing in your busy life.
