The key is to pick something you're comfortable with and just start experimenting. Don't be afraid to click every button and see what it does! My process usually begins with finding inspiration. I scour YouTube and other social media for other 'Edit.man' creators for ideas on transitions or storytelling. Then, I gather my assets – game footage, official artwork, or even scenes from the Sonic movies or cartoons. For a character like SHADOW, I focus on his intense moments, his signature moves, and try to find music that really amplifies his persona. Syncing your cuts to the beat of the music is a game-changer; it makes the whole edit feel so much more impactful. One tip I can’t stress enough is to play with speed ramps. Slowing down a dramatic moment and then speeding up an action sequence can add so much flair. Also, don't underestimate the power of sound effects! A well-placed 'whoosh' or 'thud' can really sell an action sequence.
