According to IGN, Electronic Arts (EA) has decided to lay off a number of employees from the Battlefield 6 development team in several studios, despite the game itself recently making a fortune and becoming one of the franchise's most successful games.

by Battlefield 6, managed to break the series' sales record, and also podium as the best-selling game in the United States for 2025; however, EA stated that the change was part of a reorganization of the organizational chart, to bring team work more in line with the direction of the company and the voice of the player community.

Despite staff downgrades, major studios like DICE, Ripple Effect Studios, Criterion Games and Motive Studio will continue to operate, and Battlefield remains one of the key franchises the company will invest in in the future.
