The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Remastered returns to set a new record on Steam, the latter officially opening for play on September 29, 2026, with a peak concurrent player peak of 120,975 on launch day.

The figure became The Witcher 3's new highest concurrent player record on Steam, surpassing the previous record of 103,329 as of January 2020, behind the first season of Netflix's The Witcher series.

It is also about 92,268 above the 2015 first-run game launch range record, showing that Geralt's return to the Remastered version could pull back a large number of players, despite the game being released more than 11 years ago.

The Witcher 3 Remastered is a free upgrade for original game owners, with improved visuals and playback systems, either graphics and better performance, a new battle system, a new Skill Tree enhanced animation, plus PC-based Path Tracing support and PS5 Pro support.

The Remastered also adds Cross-platform Mod Support via mod.io, allowing players on the console to access supported mods as well as improve their UI and add several new features, while the game also includes Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine add-ons.
