Disney Anniversary Trip
It's true, there's nothing quite like celebrating a special anniversary at Disney World! My husband and I recently returned from our incredible trip, and I wanted to share some expanded thoughts on how to make your own anniversary celebration absolutely unforgettable. Beyond just saying you're celebrating, there are so many ways to add that extra sprinkle of magic. First off, don't underestimate the power of an "I'm Celebrating" button! You can pick these up for free at Guest Relations or many merchandise locations. Cast Members will often go out of their way to wish you a happy anniversary, and sometimes even surprise you with little extras – it truly felt like we were 'Pixie Dusted' throughout our stay! Make sure to mention it when making dining reservations or checking into your resort as well. When it comes to where to stay, if you're looking for something truly special, I can't recommend the Tower Club level at the Contemporary Resort enough. We stayed on the 14th floor, and it was pure luxury. The club lounge offers complimentary breakfast, evening appetizers, and desserts, plus personalized concierge service. It felt incredibly exclusive and made our anniversary feel even more pampered. While not a specific "package," opting for a club level room is a fantastic way to elevate your anniversary travel experience. Other deluxe resorts also offer club level options if the Contemporary isn't your style. For dining, Disney offers some truly romantic experiences. Consider a signature dining restaurant like California Grill (also at the Contemporary, with amazing Magic Kingdom views for fireworks!), Le Cellier Steakhouse in Epcot's Canada pavilion, or Monsieur Paul in Epcot's France. Make sure to note it's your anniversary when you book, as some might offer a complimentary dessert or an extra special table. Another unique idea is a private fireworks cruise – imagine watching Happily Ever After from the Magic Kingdom lagoon, just the two of you! While Disney World doesn't always advertise specific "anniversary packages" in the traditional sense like wedding packages, you can certainly customize your own. Think about combining a deluxe resort stay with a Disney Dining Plan (if offered), unique Enchanting Extras like a dessert party, or even a couple's spa treatment at one of the resort spas. Building your own itinerary allows you to tailor the celebration perfectly to your preferences and budget. Don't forget the little things! A special couple's photo shoot with a Disney PhotoPass photographer, personalized Mickey ears, or even just taking time to enjoy a quiet moment together on a bench in a less crowded area can be incredibly memorable. Celebrating our wedding anniversary at Disney World was a dream come true, and with a little planning, yours can be too!
