NCG Manchester School is in the heart of Manchester. There is a bus pass. The dormitory is very close to the school. It's only a 3-minute walk. It's comfortable. It doesn't cost a car. It doesn't have to rush up early.

หลายคนทักมาถามเรื่อง “IEC Abroad” ว่าช่วยอะไรบ้าง และถ้าอยากไปเรียนภาษาที่แมนเชสเตอร์ 1 เดือนต้องเตรียมตัวยังไง เราเลยสรุปเป็นเช็กลิสต์จากที่ไปจริง เผื่อช่วยตัดสินใจได้ง่ายขึ้น 1) IEC Abroad ช่วยเรื่องไหนบ้าง (จากที่เราทำ) - เลือกคอร์ส/โรงเรียนให้เหมาะกับเป้าหมาย: เช่นอยากเน้น Speaking, อยากได้คลาสเข้ม, หรืออยากมีกิจกรรมหลังเลิกเรียน - จัดแพ็กเกจเรื่องที่พักให้: เราเลือกแบบหอพักใกล้โรงเรียน NCG (เดินประมาณไม่กี่นาที) ทำให้ไม่ต้องเสียค่าเดินทางและไม่ต้องรีบตื่นมาก - ช่วยไล่เอกสารวีซ่า/นัดหมาย: อันนี้ลดความกังวลได้เยอะ เพราะมีเช็กลิสต์ชัดว่าต้องใช้อะไรบ้าง - จองรถรับสนามบิน (ถ้าอยู่ในแพ็กเกจ): เหมาะกับคนไปครั้งแรก กระเป๋าเยอะ และยังไม่ชินเส้นทาง 2) ก่อนตัดสินใจจอง ควรถามอะไรกับเอเจนซี่ - ค่าใช้จ่ายรวม/ไม่รวมอะไรบ้าง: ค่าลงทะเบียน, ค่าหนังสือเรียน, ค่ามัดจำที่พัก, ค่าประกัน, ค่าเปลี่ยนแปลงวันเดินทาง - ประเภทที่พักและกติกา: ห้องเดี่ยว/แชร์, ห้องน้ำรวมไหม, มีครัวให้ทำอาหารหรือเปล่า (ถ้าทำอาหารเองจะประหยัดมาก) - ตารางเรียนและระดับภาษา: มี placement test ไหม, เริ่มเรียนวันไหน, ชั่วโมงเรียนต่อสัปดาห์เท่าไหร่ 3) ทริคคุมงบ 1 เดือนในแมนเชสเตอร์ (ที่เราทำแล้วเวิร์ก) - ทำอาหารเองบางมื้อ: เมืองนี้มีซูเปอร์มาเก็ตเอเชีย หาซอส/บะหมี่/ข้าวง่ายมาก ช่วยกดค่าอาหารจาก “แพงทุกมื้อ” ให้เหลือแบบสบายกระเป๋า - ใช้ Free Bus ในเมือง + เดิน: ถ้าที่พักใกล้โรงเรียนจริง ค่าเดินทางแทบเป็นศูนย์ - วางแผน day trip ล่วงหน้า: ถ้าอยากไป York, Liverpool หรือขึ้นไป Edinburgh แนะนำจองตั๋วรถไฟ/โค้ชก่อน จะได้ราคาดีกว่า 4) เช็กลิสต์ของที่ควรพกไปเรียน - ปลั๊กแปลงหัว UK, เสื้อกันฝน/แจ็กเก็ตบาง (อากาศเปลี่ยนไว) - สมุด/อุปกรณ์เรียน (โรงเรียนมี workbook ให้ แต่มีของตัวเองแล้วสะดวก) - รองเท้าสบายๆ สำหรับเดินในเมือง 5) ถ้าเป็นสายฟุตบอล/กิจกรรมในเมือง แมนเชสเตอร์ไม่ได้มีดีแค่เรียนภาษา เราแวะทั้ง Old Trafford และ Etihad Stadium ได้ฟีล “มาแล้วต้องเช็กอิน” และยังมีที่เที่ยวแนวพิพิธภัณฑ์/หอศิลป์ เดินเพลินๆ ได้ทั้งวัน สรุปคือ ถ้าอยากให้การเตรียมไปเรียนภาษาง่ายขึ้น การให้ IEC Abroad ช่วยจัดการเรื่องสมัครเรียน วีซ่า ที่พัก และรับสนามบิน จะลดงานจุกจิกไปได้เยอะ ส่วนเรามีหน้าที่หลักๆ คือเตรียมงบ จองตั๋วเครื่องบิน และจัดของให้พร้อมก็พอ
