Volare
[to fly]
🤯DAYS LEFT
Prelims Prac: 2 DAYS AGO
Prelims: 13
As Prac: 61
As: 80
For the first 2 days [first portion?] were typed during the waiting time on national day celebration[8/8]? Live laugh love the creation of technology sometimes, staring and surviving through such questionable waiting time seriously needs loads of something. Breh making a class of 25 people coordinated to like a location 8 stops away(changed lines btw) with multiple classes going at once is creme da le creme mess
Initially was planning to finishing completing this weeks spam on Wednesday[after the said prelim prac, 13/8] but life matters came out and will cascade them into another note hehe [1h plus of my life sold into this]
Mon
Eating sushiro for the 3rd time?? Cos my mom really wants the plushy so i guess 18 more times to go🤡
What to eat at Sushiro though? Idk just getting what the limited time deals offer and hopefully trying all the noodle bowls at least once
$1.90 salmon the goat sia hahaha, its so worth it and thick cut? Yes please
Tue
I was feeling a bit “sot sot”(out of place) today… Seeing that pmo pe teacher and a soul drying physics teacher really made me feel overly dead😄
Oh and managed to officially delete Reverse1999🫠
My gaming addiction is not having it😭
But I seriously need to cultivate better hobbies like learning languages / music / reading books
Maybe due to feeling somewhat deprived when not erm being in touch with screen time? Trying to get screen time this week to be under 15 hours
Nearly fainted due to period pain after dinner, it suddenly came 2 days before its supposed to usually. Fortunately my mom was home and noticed it haha, she abruptly notified my tuition teacher so i just KO’ed on bed afterwards.
Wed
The best decision of my life to fully utilize my parents letter on this day, was still recuperating from menstrual cramps [agonies of being a female]. Decided that this year I would only consume necessary amounts of paracetamol pills, eating 7 in one day and realising the dosage overload effects made me really concerned of my pain tolerance and health of course. Was not productive at all and was really enthusiastic to do some much needed house chores[sorting medications…]
Thu
Yikes back to the sufferings of being in school though just going through an already uploaded answer key, legit feel like got some soul sucking vampire curse in this school. One of the sole times I feel happy is dashing out of school XD Never felt such prison-like powers before…
Fri
Regarding the mess, I was the only bodoh[stupid] that did not rush into a crowded and CLOSING mrt. Panicking while shouting for my closest friend’s name. Just to see her make it in as the last one. Just me🧍at the platform, with some others from my class which i was not really close to… My coping mechanism from most of these startling events is to just become avoidant [in case i flare out nastily which used to happen a few years back]. Yep my closest friend, who is and high chance will be a life-long introvert, cried in front of the class when i broke my avoidant stance[thanks mom for sending me to chinese drama, it really solidified my acting skills to remain nonchalant on surface level]
Massive REGRET of mine for giving this class fg another chance to hang out outside of school, felt really drained after hanging out with them. Even was the one getting the order for wingstop & numsaram for the group. Just for me to feel drained is really weird since i usually get more hyped up when hanging out with and helping out close ones [guess we ain’t close like that]
Calling my sibling with our life updates has constant DAMNNN, their English is really really good as they advocate to not rely on AI to write?? Helps i try my best to do so for internship applications but changing to a more formal tone is a challenge for me 😢
Sat
Happy belated National Day SG!!!
I had to control[so easy man] myself from studying, to let my best friend win. She shares a birthday with Singapore 0-0
Anyways my family brought my grandmother out to watch the fireworks, she really goes out to these events as for her the comfort of her home and sitting on her cushion filled chair watching live tv is the usual. Novel experience of hurrying to the lawn and toileting there, would definitely do it again!! For the shits and giggles, yall should try it too!!
Sun
Missed stretching this week as still on period and did not want to risk gushing haemoglobins on the yoga mat. Had tuition and just rested for the rest of the day to prepare mentally for the incoming week WOOO
Funny ending when i was searching up a fancy word for flying, flew to “volare” and “Neo blu, dipinto di blu” Italian song by Domenico Modugno, meaning “In the blue, painted blue sky”. An interesting fact is that it was inspired by artist Marc Chagall, painting a blue figure. The song is depicting a dream where the singer is flying in the blue sky?? In a state of freedom and joy?? Really ironic[had to search up the meaning to be accurate and yes, it means strange] that i am kind of experiencing it right now
Reflecting on my week, I realized how important balancing school commitments and personal well-being is. Managing stress during exam prelims while dealing with unexpected menstrual pain taught me the value of listening to my body and resting when needed. I highly recommend setting realistic study goals – sometimes pushing too hard backfires, as I learned when taking paracetamol excessively. My repeated visits to Sushiro weren’t just about enjoying $1.90 thick salmon slices or trying limited-time noodle bowls – they became little moments of joy and comfort amid hectic days. Sharing meals with family and friends can be a powerful way to recharge emotionally. Social interactions also proved complex. Although I often get energized helping close friends, I felt surprisingly drained after hanging out with my classmates recently. It reminded me that it's okay to recognize when relationships no longer nurture you the way they once did. On a lighter note, my interest in Italian culture sparked by the song "Volare" gave me a fresh perspective on freedom and joy, symbolized by flying in the blue sky. Small pleasures like this help me hold onto hope and optimism. If you’re struggling with similar daily challenges or study demands, consider journaling your experiences. It’s an excellent outlet for self-expression and reflection. Also, exploring hobbies like language learning, music, or reading can keep your mind active without burning out. Lastly, controlling screen time has been tough but rewarding. Limiting myself to under 15 hours weekly helped me reconnect with offline passions and improve my focus. Overall, embracing both struggles and highlights has made this week a meaningful journey of growth.
